Terms of Service
Effective 8 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Describe Video AI for the use of Describe Video AI. By creating an account or uploading a video, you agree to them.
1. What the service does
Describe Video AI analyses video you upload. It extracts frames and audio, runs them through third-party AI models, and returns a written answer to the question you asked. The service is provided as-is and may change, improve, or have features removed over time.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 16 years old, or older if that is the minimum age where you live. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account and for keeping access to your Google sign-in secure. Tell us promptly at support@describevideoai.com if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.
3. Credits and payment
Analyses are paid for with credits. Each analysis costs at least one credit, and the credit is deducted when the job is accepted for processing rather than when it finishes.
If an analysis fails on our side, tell us and we will restore the credit. We do not automatically refund credits for jobs that fail during processing, so please contact us and we will put it right.
Credits are bought through Stripe, are tied to your account, are not transferable, and have no cash value. Consumer law where you live may give you a right to cancel or refund a purchase; nothing here removes those rights.
4. Your content stays yours
You keep all rights to the videos you upload and to the analyses generated from them. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and transmit that content strictly for the purpose of running the service for you — including sending frames and audio to our AI providers. That licence ends when the content is deleted.
We do not use your content to train our own models.
5. Acceptable use
You agree that you will not use Describe Video AI to:
- upload video you do not have the rights to, or recordings of people who have not consented to being recorded where their consent is required;
- process content that is unlawful, or that depicts the sexual abuse or exploitation of children;
- identify, track, or profile individuals without a lawful basis, or conduct surveillance of people who have not consented to it;
- infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
- attempt to break, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service or its infrastructure;
- resell or redistribute the service as your own without our written agreement.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, and where we are legally required to do so we will report unlawful content.
6. AI output has limits
Analyses are generated by AI models and can be wrong. They may misread what is happening in a video, mis-transcribe speech, misattribute who said what, or state something confidently that is simply incorrect.
Do not rely on an analysis as the sole basis for any decision that matters — legal, medical, financial, employment, safety, or otherwise. Verify anything important against the source recording. You are responsible for how you use the output.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the service running but do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may take it down for maintenance, and it depends on third-party providers whose outages are outside our control.
8. Warranties and liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of output.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim connected to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty euros. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
9. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the service and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where we are required to by law. On closure, unused credits are forfeited unless the closure was our fault or the law says otherwise.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Belgium, and the courts there have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in the country where you live, and you keep the protection of that country’s mandatory consumer law.
12. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how your videos are processed. It forms part of this agreement.
